Unboxing: Bntnews Beauty Box - September 2015

Hi girls! It has been a while! I'm so sorry for my long hiatus, my schedule has been so hectic and I had a few holidays which is why I didn't blog, but yes.. I'm back now! YAY ^^! BNTNEWS
Bntnews is an internet newspaper that is specialized in Korean fashion, beauty, entertainment and k-wave. They recently sent me the September beauty box which includes 4 Korean beauty products. I will be revealing these products today as well as giving you a short review about it.

BNTNEWS BEAUTY BOX SEPTEMBER 2015 

DAENG GI MEORI ORIENTAL SPECIAL SHAMPOO
I was so amazed by the packaging when I first saw this. It looks gorgeous! I've been using this shampoo for two weeks and I'm liking it so far. It feels great on my dry hair and it keeps it moist and shiny. It comes in a 500ml bottle and a 145ml bottle.

According to their description is protects and softens the hair. It contains more than 35% of ripe and enriched medicinal ingredients as well as lily extracts. It has full of vitamins and minerals, it protects the scalp and makes it moist. This product is for dry scalp, it's recommended to use it in the morning and at night, but I only use it once every other day since I don't think it's good to wash your hair every day.

TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL GLOSSY BLASTER TINT
This is actually the first time trying a Too cool for school blaster tint and I like it! It has a very bright red color, it's glossy and the pigmentation is great. It adds glow and volume to the lip without applying a lip gloss. I received it in the color chic red. I can't really pull off a red lippie, but if you can, this product will be your best friend. It's so glossy and moist on the lips.

3 CONCEPT EYES LONG WEAR EYE CRAYON 
It's also my first time trying an eye crayon out from 3CE and I was surprised how pigmented this is and how long it stayed on my eyelids. My eyelids are very oily during the day so oil- and waterproof is a must for me. It applies softly and is easy to use and to carry around, I love it! The packaging is gorgeous as well - simple but nice. It has a shimmer finish which is good for every day wear.

AMARANTH MESSALINE VIBRANT SHIMMERING CC CREAM
This CC Cream is perfect for people with a pale skin, points to myself lol. It has a medium coverage and is easy to spread. This high-adherence three-function correction cream does makeup and skincare at the same time. It deeply nourishes the skin while hyaluronic acid and mistletoe leaf keeps it moisturized all day long. It also contains peony root extracts for a lively complexion. I'm loving the packaging of this product, it looks so classy and it has a pump which means you can get the proper amount out that you want. It smells very fresh and floral too.

Review: The Face Shop - Natural Sun Eco Aqua Sun Gel SPF40

No matter if it's Summer or Winter, Fall or Spring, I always apply products on with a SPF. In today's blogpost I'm reviewing the aqua sun gel from Korean brand The Face Shop.

THE FACE SHOP NATURAL SUN ECO AQUA SUN GEL SPF40 PA+++
This sun gel is an organic skincare product, which means it is made of fresh and natural ingredients. It includes purified extracts of sunflower sprouts which acts as a Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF). It is refreshing and moisturizing after application. The sun gel contains more than 60% of moisturizing ingredients too. These ingredients get absorbed into the skin easily due to its gel base. The sun block  has a SPF40 PA+++ protection and it claims that it's not sticky at all. It contains 50ml of product.

PACKAGING 
I'm loving the packaging since it looks oh so summery with all the sunflowers. As you can see it comes in a tube packaging so you can easily squeeze the product out.

INGREDIENTS

SCENT & TEXTURE
It has a lovely fresh rose scent that you can smell while applying it. I love how fresh it smells, but this can be a bit overwhelming for some people. The texture is more like a cream rather than a gel. It's a tiny bit sticky once applied but this feeling goes away very fast. It absorbs quickly and it's easy to spread.

SWATCHES 
As you can see below the sun block is yellow colored and it doesn't look like a gel.

WHERE TO BUY?
I received this sun gel from Q-depot.com for review purposes. Q-depot is an online shop which sells Korean products worldwide. Their shipping cost is free everywhere in the world. They sell The Face Shop aqua sun gel for $12.89.

MY OPINION
I'm loving this sunblock since it smells really nice, it absorbs easily, it feels moist, has a high SPF and it doesn't give me that oily look after application. It doesn't do much on sebum control but it won't make your face look like a disco ball like some sunblocks do after application. Re-application is obviously  needed during the day to protect you from the sun.

Review: Pure Heals Propolis 90 Ampoule

I had been searching for a new ampoule for a while. The last ampoule that I tried and loved was the Missha time revolution ampoule. I will definitely repurchase that one again but I wanted to try some new ampoules as well. Bntnews sent me this 90% propolis ampoule to me from Pure Heals for review purposes. In today's blogpost I'm sharing my thoughts of this product. This product was also the best beauty product of 2013 according to Allure magazine.

PURE HEALS - PROPOLIS 90 AMPOULE 
Pure Heals by Nature Village is a Korean company who is specialized in skincare and other beauty products which are made with natural extracts. Their propolis collection doesn't only include this ampoule, they also have a cleanser, a milk, toner and cream. What is propolis? It's a honey extract with not only honey but it includes valuable ingredients from plants as well. Propolis main formula is Polanoid, and it claims to be great to calm the skin while keeping it moist. The 90% propolis extract ampoule claims to be good for wrinkle improvement, whitening, calming, balance care and intensive moisture. They don't test on animals and it's paraben free. It contains 30ml of product.

PACKAGING 
The packaging is yellow and has a few bees on it. It has English as well as Korean descriptions on it. On the packaging they explain propolis as "a mysterious mixture of natural materials made by honeybees, which collect the sap of plants and mix them with their saliva, adding beneficial enzymes, It contains nutritional ingredients to protect the skin from both internal and external irritants and repair damaged skin. It helps restore skin to health by soothing sensitive skin."



It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper, make sure to check the expiry date at the bottom of the product. The dropper is quite big so it's easy to get a lot of product out at once, so it's important to do it slowly to get a few drops out.

INGREDIENTS

HOW TO USE 
After face wash, use a suitable toner for your skin type and apply a moderate amount of this product onto the skin with light patting motions.

SCENT 
It has a floral/herbal scent to it which I'm not a big fan of. Luckily it's very light, so once applied on the skin you can't really smell the scent.

HOW IT FEELS 
The ampoule is yellow and a bit sticky after application. It absorbs within a few seconds which is great, it depends how much you put on your face as well of course. It takes longer if you apply a lot at once, but a little goes a long way. After application it creates a glossy finish which I love.

It's sold at ibuybeauti.com for $13.21, nice price I would say! Great option if you're on a budget.

FINAL THOUGHTS 
I can see why this was one of the best beauty products according to Allure magazine. I have been using this ampoule for two weeks and this product feels great on my skin. My combination dry skin likes it. It is soothing and moisturizing. What I also love about this product is that it creates a glow on the skin after application, my skin looks more radiant after which is great. Great for people with a dull skin I would say. I didn't notice anything about wrinkle care and whitening effect since I only used it for 2 weeks. Unfortunately I'm not a big fan of the scent, but luckily it goes away once I apply it on my face. If you are interested in adding propolis into your skincare, you might give this one a try, it's a cheap one as well!

Review: BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream

In today's blogpost I'm going to review the Jasmine Water BB Cream of the brand BRTC. I am a fan of jasmine tea so I was wondering how this BB cream would be and if it would have a jasmine scent as well. Read more about it on today's post.

BRTC JASMINE WATER BB CREAM
Jasmine water BB cream supplies intensive moisture to the skin. It helps to tighten your skin and promotes a healthier and radiant look. This is a triple function BB cream with whitening, wrinkle repair and water replenishment functions. It is for people with a dry & sensitive skin. I have a combination, dry skin type  so I'm wondering if it really will moisture my skin. It also claims to have oil control. It has SPF30 and it has 35g of product in it.

PACKAGING
It comes in a purple packaging and in a tube. The opening is small so you can easily squeeze the product out and also the amount as you wish.

INGREDIENTS
If you're curious about the ingredients, you can check it out on COSDNA.com where you can also see the safety of the ingredients. Lots of green icons, which is good but also a few which aren't that great.

OIL CONTROL
It claims to control oil and moisture the skin. The oil control is average, after 3 hours my T-zone started to get oily. This BB cream is moisturizing, but not enough for my dry skin unfortunately. You can still see my dry areas on my face as well as flakes after application.

SWATCH & SCENT
The BB cream has a sheer to medium coverage, but it doesn't feel heavy on the face. It's not the creamiest cream which makes it a bit hard to blend. It has a light scent of jasmine. I do like to drink jasmine tea, but i don't prefer that scent in a BB cream, it's pretty weird in my opinion.

As you can see at the right part of my hand, the color is light beige and it has a light pink undertone. I looked very pale as well as pink after I applied it on my face, but that pink tone went away when the BB cream was absorbed into the skin. It has a matte finish too, not radiant. This BB cream is suitable for people with a very pale skin tone.

WHERE TO BUY? 
It's sold at sasa.com for $29.50 which is quite expensive for a BB cream to be honest. It's also available at koreadepart.com.

FINAL THOUGHTS 
Unfortunately this BB Cream didn't suit my skin tone. Also this didn't suit my skin type, having a dry to combination skin, moisture is a must, but I was still able to see my flakes and dry spots which is the last thing I want to see when looking in the mirror lol. I'm not a big fan of the jasmine scent in this product neither. Of course every person is different so if I don't like this product, it doesn't mean you won't like it. If you have a very light and pink skin tone this might suit you. If you are looking for a sheer to medium BB cream, have a normal skin type and love jasmine scented products this would be great for you. I just think it's a pity that this BB cream doesn't suit every skin type and skin tone, so it's only aimed to a certain audience.

Review: BRTC Jasmine Waterful Sleeping Pack

I'm sure that a lot of us need some moisture during our nighttime skincare routine. BRTC has a waterful sleeping pack in their Jasmine collection. In today's blogpost I'm reviewing this moist bomb!

BRTC JASMINE WATER SLEEPING PACK 
The Jasmine aroma sleeping pack is to soothe and moisturize the sensitive skin. The water drop type natural aroma sleeping pack includes BRTC-exclusive patented ingredients of blue phyto complex and infused jasmine water which helps with soothing and it keeps the skin moisturized overnight. It has anti-wrinkle and whitening functions. It has 50ml of product in it.

PACKAGING 
Just like the BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream it has a purple packaging with Korean as well as English descriptions on it. The product comes in a purple tube with a spatula.

SCENT 
It just has the same scent as the Jasmine water BB Cream from BRTC. It has a jasmine scent which I don't really like and this one is pretty strong as well so if you're not a fan of jasmine, you won't like this.

INGREDIENTS 
If you are curious about the ingredients, you can check out cosdna.com and you can see if it's safe or not. It looks not bad as far as I can see.

TEXTURE 
The texture is a gel-type and it's white. Once rubbed into the skin it will turn translucent. Unfortunately it doesn't dry that quickly. It has a nice cooling effect which is lovely before you sleep, it gives a soothing effect which I like. However, it's a bit sticky after application which I'm not a fan of since that means that the product will also transfer onto my pillows.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I've been trying this sleeping pack out for 2 weeks and it's very cooling and soothing on the skin. It's a great way to apply this onto the skin and lay down for a bit to de-stress. However, I'm not a big fan of the scent, it feels sticky on the skin after application and it takes a while to dry. Since I've been using this product for a short period I can't tell much about the anti-wrinkle effect nor whitening effect. The only thing that was noticeable was that it made my skin moist and it looked plump when I woke up.

Etude House Snowy Dessert Holiday Collection 2015

Etude House has released a brand new collection called Snowy Dessert for the upcoming holiday's. It includes pudding lip tints, hand creams, scented wax tablet, a blusher and bronzer and a few 101 pencils are added to the collection. The hand creams and the scented wax tablet (red velvet/tiramisu) aren't sold yet, while the other products are already available. As always it includes an adorable packaging! Review: Medisol Linefill Melavoid Snail Cream & Syn-Ake Cream

In today's blogpost I am going to review two products of the brand Medisol, The Therapist. It was the first time that I heard of this brand to be honest. These two products were sent to me for review purposes by Glamour Flare. When I saw that they sold a snail cream and a syn-ake cream I just had to try it out. I have been trying each cream for 3 weeks and I can finally share my thoughts about it.

MEDISOL, THE THERAPIST - THE BRAND 
Firstly, a short introduction of the brand, Medisol. Medi - from the Latin medicina, the art of healing, denotes the healing properties of the brand. Sol is short for solutions. Together, Medisol uses the art of healing with technical innovations to provide solutions for those with troubled skin. Medisol is a part of Bonne, Inc., which is a one of the leaders in the development of innovative cosmetics. Bonne, Inc. also created brands like Touch in Sol, Miracle Island and Nature Secrets.

Medisol is a clinical concepted skincare brand for the sensitive skin. They started in April 2012 and  has introduced a lot of products in the market which provide solutions for problems such as whitening, pore-problems and fine-lines. This with help of well-known dermatologists and the Provital group in Spain.

MEDISOL LINEFILL MELAVOID SNAIL CREAM 50ML
The Medisol Snail Cream will moisturise your skin, reduce the visible effects of ageing and allow your skin to look youthful, yes girls, this is an anti-aging cream! This cream includes natural ingredients, and is free from parabens and other harsh chemicals. The active ingredients work to improve the look of wrinkles and fine lines, transforming your skin and restoring its radiance. This cream includes 3 natural ingredients that moisturise the skin, and give more volume to areas that have lost their shape due to ageing. One ingredient is Snail mucus filtrate, and this improves the supply of water and nutrients to the skin. Leaving you with skin that is hydrated whilst locking in moisture. Working alongside the Snail mucus filtrate is Melavoid, found in plants, this is a nautral lightening agent that targets uneven skin tone and dark patches. Sounds great right?

PACKAGING 
The packaging of the cream is gorgeous! The golden look makes it look chic and expensive! It contains English as well as Korean descriptions on the packaging.

INGREDIENTS

HOW TO USE 
To apply, place a small amount of the cream onto the palm of your hand and then spread the cream across your face. GlamourFlare recommends to use circular motions to apply the cream. For the best results apply before bedtime.

SWATCHES & SCENT
This cream has a strong floral scent which I am not a massive fan of. You either love this or hate this. This cream has a light texture and is easy to spread. It is slightly sticky after application but after a few seconds this feeling will go away, leaving the skin moist and plump.

FINAL THOUGHTS 
I like it that this cream feels very fresh on the skin, it has a bit of a cooling effect, which is great for night time. It moisturizes my skin, leaving my skin looking plump in the morning. It's easy to spread but it's slightly sticky after application. The strong floral scent is the only big thing I don't really like of this product. Unfortunately, it didn't do much on my skin after 3 weeks usage neither, I couldn't see any noticeable changes. Overall, I don't hate nor absolutely love this cream. However, I wouldn't purchase this cream again just because of the strong scent and also because it didn't do much on my skin.

MEDISOL LINEFILL MELAVOID SYN-AKE CREAM 
Medisol Syn-Ake Cream contains ingredients that will restore your skin to its former glory. This moisturiser will rehydrate your skin, giving it a smooth and firm texture, whilst leaving you with a more youthful appearance. Syn-Ake is the main anti-ageing ingredient in this product, and it replicates the venom of the Malaysian Temple Viper. It mimics the effects of Botox by tightening the muscles underneath the skin and removing wrinkles. Working alongside Syn-Ake is the revolutionary ingredient Linefill. An all-in-one wrinkle filler that visibly reduces the signs of ageing. This unique formula increases the elasticity of your skin and reduces deep and fine wrinkles, making your skin look younger. This cream also contains melavoid, an effective lightening agent, which targets dark spots and uneven skin tone.

INGREDIENTS

HOW TO USE 
Place a dime sized amount of the cream onto the palm of your hand. There is a lovely spatula in the box so you can easily get the product out using that. A small amount goes a long way, and too much can leave skin feeling greasy. Massage the cream into the skin evenly so that it can be absorbed. For the best results apply this cream twice a day. Once in the morning and again in the evening just before you go to sleep.

SCENT & TEXTURE 
The cream is yellow and has a medium thick texture. It doesn't really have a scent to it which is good, but because of the medium texture it's not easy to spread. It feels moist on the skin and not sticky. It absorbs into the skin within a second, afterwards, my skin looks and feels supple.

FINAL THOUGHTS 
The syn-ake cream does a great job with moisturizing my skin. It gives me a plump look after application (not like a disco ball). Obviously you can't see that it has benefits for the aging process within a few weeks, so I cannot judge about that. This cream is more of a night time cream to me because of the medium texture that it has. I am glad that it is pretty scentless since I don't like heavy scented products. A downside is that I do not like the fact that it is a bit hard to spread while applying and I couldn't see nor feel the firming effect that this cream should have. Overall, it's a nice cream which I don't hate nor absolutely love.

Etude House Play 101 Stick Collection 2015

If you have been following my blog for a while, you know that Etude House has released a lot of Play 101 Pencils in the past years. Guess what, they recently released the Play 101 Sticks which makes it easier for us to apply foundation, contour, blush and apply highlighter. These definitely make me think of the Missha Soft Blending Sticks which I recently purchased. I can't wait to get my hands on these Play 101 Sticks from Etude House and compare. Review: Son & Park Beauty Water

I have been hearing a lot about this skincare product recently. I am talking about the Son & Park Beauty Water. Son Dae-sik, a famous celebrity makeup artist in Korea is the co-founder of the Son & Park beauty collection. If it is created by a make up artist, it must be good you would think, no? SON & PARK BEAUTY WATER 
The packaging is very simple - black and white. It comes in a translucent bottle and it is sold in two sizes: 340ml and 500ml. It is a cleansing liquid made from natural plant extracts that gently cleanses, exfoliates and moisturizes the skin to make it smooth, revitalized and hydrated. The formula of the beauty water creates a clean base for the following steps in your skincare routine. It has a pH of 5, which is a perfect amount of pH after cleansing. It contains natural ingredients derived from coconut, corn, potato and wheat. Besides that, it renews the skin's surface as willow bark and papaya extract lift away impurities and dead skin cells for brighter and smoother skin. The Son & Park beauty water also claims to hydrate the skin because of the lavender water, rose flower water and orange fruit extract that this product contains. It is suitable for normal, dry, oily and combination skin types.

HOW TO USE
Put some product on a cotton pad and gently sweep across the face. As you can see below the product is translucent and it's very liquid just like water. You can use it as a toner, you can use it to remove remaining impurities after cleansing, you can also use it as a way to freshen up your face during the day, like after the gym.

FINAL THOUGHTS 
I usually use this as a toner after cleansing my face with my Clarisonic mia 2. The Son & Park beauty water has a PH 5 which is great for resetting the skin's natural pH after cleansing and my skin definitely notice this. It doesn't feel tight on the skin, it makes my skin clean, it's gentle, not dry and non-sticky. It has a bit of a scent to it but it's not overwhelming at all. I'm loving the simple but sleek packaging as well. Overall, I am happy with the beauty water because it does what it should do. It's not a miracle water where I can see big changes, but I can feel that my skin likes it.

Hi all! Even though it's mid January 2016 already, I just wanted to say Happy New Year and I wish you all the best! Stay healthy girls! My apologies for the lack of posts. I've been extremely ill recently so I really needed some time to recover and I am still in my recover status actually. Anyways, back to the main topic of this blogpost. Today I am going to review the Honest TT Mist of Benton. Benton has become such a popular brand and a lot of people with sensitive skin love their products! BENTON HONEST TT MIST 
Benton Honest TT mist is made of tea tree leaf water instead of normal water. This mist contains hyaluronic acid and various beauty ingredients to help improve rough and damaged skin from stress and pollution with moisturizing and cooling effect. It's suitable for all skin types - yes, even the sensitive ones: it's suitable for irritated skin, imbalanced skin, oily skin that needs some moist, tight and dry skin that needs moist and damaged skin that needs prevention and improvement. It contains 40ml of product. I love how they also show that it's close to pH6.0 since the best pH for the skin is 5.5. When I tested the pH level out, it was indeed around pH6.0.

PACKAGING 
It comes in a black and white packaging and a spray tube. It's very easy to get the product out and it sprays equally onto the face. The mist is just like water and it doesn't have a scent which is a good thing. The texture is very lightweight and non-sticky which is a pro.

HOW TO USE
You can use it as a skin toner or use it as a mist. When using as a skin toner, you can spray it onto your skin directly (please spray about 30cm distance) and then softly pat it onto the face. I normally just use my hands to pat it on instead of a cotton pad. When my skin feels extremely dry I just spray 2 layers of it. When using it as a mist (also spray about 30cm distance), you should spray it all over the face after applying makeup. You can re-spray from time to time when your skin feels dry.

WHERE TO BUY? 
This was sent to me by roseroseshop.com for review purposes. It's currently on sale and sold for USD$5.96 for 40ml of product. They ship worldwide. This is such a bargain! I can't believe how inexpensive this mist actually is now!

PROS 
- Suitable for all skintypes, even for the very sensitive ones

FINAL THOUGHTS
I am in love with this product! I have been using this product as a skin toner for a good 2 weeks now (day and night) and my skin is definitely loving it! My skin has been very sensitive lately since I had a food allergy it turned from a combination dry skin into a very sensitive and dry/flakey skin, so I was in need for some good products which is suitable for my skin type and this was PERFECT! The pH level is great, it balances my skin out, it contains natural ingredients (lots of tea tree) which calms and soothes the skin and it keeps my skin moist and fresh. It didn't give me a breakout which I am really happy about. I got to say that I am really impressed with this product and I even have added this mist into my holy grail products! It's not only good as a toner but also as a mist, it keeps the skin moist for hours and it cools the skin as well which is great for the hot days. It really saved my skin after the allergy that I had. I would definitely repurchase this mist again after I am done with this one.

Amsterdam Fashion Week 2016 - LOLA + LOU & Tess van Zalinge

Two weeks ago was all about the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Amsterdam. I have been receiving invitations for the past years and it always has been one of my favorite events. I always feel honored when I get to go to catwalks during fashion week because it is so fascinating to see collections of many designers with your own eyes. The thought behind the collections and the actual designs always blow my mind. I always love to share experiences, so in January 2016 I wanted to give this opportunity to one of the bloggers that I am following, which is Jani. She will share her experience of the Amsterdam Fashion Week with you girls today and tomorrow. Make sure to stay tuned!



As Elisa already said at the beginning of the blogpost, two weeks ago it was all about the Mercedes-Benz Fashion week in Amsterdam. I was so excited to go, surrounded by all the Fashionista’s, Fashion Designers and Photographers it felt a little overwhelming that I could take part of it. But first let me introduce myself to you! My name is Jani, I live in the Netherlands and I blog and vlog a bit about fashion and stuff. I go by the name The Black and Grey and you can find me on janiyu.com, Instagram and Youtube, but mainly active on Instagram and there is where I got to know Elisa! We’ve been following eachother for a quite some time now and I really enjoy her feed! So I was a bit suprised she asked me to go but really happy she did! So back to MBFWA, I attended two fashionshows and the first one was by Lola + Lou and Tess van Zalinge on Friday Night.

OBLIVION BY LOLA + LOU
Lola + Lou is a Dutch lingerie brand by Malou van den Broek and Tess van Zalinge founded in 2015. They shared their first collection ‘Oblivion’ here at MBFWA. Lola + Lou combines high-end and mainstream with fashion and functionality. See the beautiful collection below!

I thought that this collection was really feminine and at the same time very casual. I would definitely wear this daily and feel very sexy at the same time!

GESCHAPEN LAND | LANDSCHAP BY TESS VAN ZALINGE
And then came Tess van Zalinge with her own and second collection ‘Geschapen Land, Landschap'. And literally I was amazed from the beginning till the end. You will see why after you’ve seen the pictures. This collection is inspired by the Dutch landscape and it reflects the pure malleability of the Dutch polder. See the amazing collection below!

This collection was really an experience. Everything was on point, the models, the look and the way they walked and the music choice, it all became one. Yes, this was really mesmerizing and beautiful. I can’t say another word about it, I guess!

Amsterdam Fashion Week 2016 - Couture Light Monique Collignon

Hi all! Today is another blogpost about a catwalk show during the Amsterdam Fashion Week in January 2016. I gave the blogger Jani Yu of The Black and Grey the opportunity to experience the whole thing. It was the first time that she went to such kind of event so it was mind blowing for her. COUTURE LIGHT BY MONIQUE COLLIGNON 
For the second show I attended ‘Couture Light’ by Monique Collignon. This time the show was held in a bigger space with even more people than yesterday (as you can imagine I was a little overwhelmed by it again)! While waiting for the show to start, I started off with taking some photo’s of the place.

Monique Collignon is a Dutch Fashion Designer that express self-consciousness and shows feminine and power through her work. In 1996 she showed her first Haute Couture collection and now you can even view some of her pieces in the art collections at the Amsterdam Historic Museum and at het Haagse Gemeente Museum in The Nehterlands. Knowing this I was very excited to watch her show and yes it was very feminine, empowering and even a little mysterious to me!

Right? I really loved the mysterious look on the models and the strong feminine feel of the whole collection en show. Made me realize that one day I want to be like that too. A strong independent woman, with a bit of mystery. The show ended with a big powerwalk and a big applaus for Monique Collignon!

I have been using these two products since the beginning of last year and I got to say I cannot live without it anymore. It improved my elasticity and dryness a lot on my skin after using this, so after I knew these two were almost empty, I just had to restock them. Both formulas has been improved so I hope it is even better than their previous version! MISSHA SOFT BLENDING STICK BLUSHER - MUD BROWN & PECAN BROWN
I got curious about the stick blushers of Missha while I was browsing on w2Beauty.com, so I decided to give these two a try. I mainly purchased them to apply it as a bronzer. I wasn't sure which color which suit me the most so I bought the color mud brown and pecan brown.

INNISFREE GREEN TEA CLEANSING WATER
I am a big big fan of the Korean brand Innisfree and I am in love with their green tea line. I have tried many products of this line but hadn't tried them all, so I purchased a few products like their green tea cleansing water and two products of their green tea moisture line to try it out. If you are looking for a review of their green tea balancing line or moisture line, HERE you can find a few of mine. I cannot wait to give this a try! I sure will write a review about these.

Whoaaa, I was so happy when I saw the amount of samples in my box. Alice of W2beauty gave me loads! It is a great way to try out new products but it's also great for traveling! Alice also included a few sheet masks and I didn't know what to think when I saw the horse oil mask o_o"! OMG, first time seeing this, but would you give the horse oil mask a try? Would you dare?

Hotspot: CitizenM Hotel & International Film Festival Rotterdam

Hello all! You might have seen some pictures on my Instagram that I was in Rotterdam for two days last week. I was invited to go to the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR), followed by a complimentary night’s stay at hotel citizenM. IFFR is one of the largest audience and industry-driven film festivals in the world. During 12 festival days, hundreds of filmmakers and other artists present their work to a large audience. It's an amazing way to check out international movies, which you normally won't see in the cinemas. The festival took place from January 27th to February 7th 2016 and I went on the last 2 days. This was the first time that I went to this film festival and the first time that I stayed at hotel CitizenM. And oh my, what an amazing experience it was!

HOTEL CITIZENM AND IFFR 









Once you are at Rotterdam Blaak, you will see the citizenM hotel straight away, I couldn't believe how convenient this hotel was. It's just a second away from the station and once I stepped into the hotel my jaw just dropped because of the gorgeous interior and staircase. I love how modern it looks and every piece of decoration makes it look perfect, every corner creates its own story as well. Not only the interior is amazing their smoke-free rooms are awesome too. Once I stepped into the room I saw the XL Kingsize bed with a lovely view of the old harbour of Rotterdam, say that again? Yes... XL Kingsize bed! They also added a personal touch to the room, by adding my name on the tv and tablet. The bathroom has a big rain shower as well including lovely day and night shower gels created by a developer who was also responsible for creations of Comme des Garçons, Viktor & Rolf and Helmut Lang.

After discovering the features of the hotel room, my friend and I went to IFFR to check out the movie, Suntan. This movie is about a doctor who is on a tourist Greek island. He falls for a 19-year-old girl, Anna. He tries to connect with her and her friends. But how wild are you at the age of 40?, it was definitely an interesting watch.

IFFR was just a walking distance from the city centre so we grabbed some food and decided to relax in the hotel and enjoy the unlimited movies that they have.

I really had an amazing time at IFFR and CitizenM and I would definitely visit this hotel in the future again. I saw that they are not only in Rotterdam but also in Amsterdam, Glasgow, London, New York and Paris! Definitely worth a visit!

Wanisha was so kind to send me more products to try that are sold at Feelunique.com. She has send me the Urban Decay travel-sized set of the 24/7 glide on eye pencils. I am in love love love of their 24/7 eyeliner aka my holy grail, so I cannot wait to try these!

She has also send me the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer which is a pre-shampoo intensive moisturising treatment that delivers elasticity, bounce and shine to the hair. It also provides UV protection even after washing, helping prolong the life of colour treated hair. Visible results from one application that improves with continued use. It's also fragrance free. After reading the description, it seems very promising! A must try on my damaged colored hair I would say.

I am pretty impressed by this radiant beauty box. It is worth its money of €36.96 I would say, it contains full sized products as well as small mini's. It contains products that I have been willing to try for a while and that interest me. The box is presented in a chic way with clear descriptions, give it a try I would say. If you are interested in other beauty boxes, have a look at these.

As you have noticed, Feelunique.com has a very wide range of products, from make up, nails, skincare to hair products. They got it all. I hadn't heard of this website before but it's a great spot to purchase products of European and American brands if it's hard to get it in your country. Review: IASO Cosmetics Conditioner, Booster & Eye Care

Hi all! Today I'm putting a mid-end Korean brand in the spotlight that is called IASO. I hadn't heard about this brand before so I was excited to give their skincare products a try when they contacted me. They have sent me the IASO Intensive Clear Conditioner, Intensive Clear Booster and the Total Eye care concentrate. Continue with reading if you would like to know my thoughts about these products.

IASO COSMETICS 
"The word "IASO" is derived from the name of the eldest daugher of the Greek god of medicine, Asclepius' meant to signify the twin concepts of medicine and treatment. IASO is a prestige brand designed to address your sophisticated and proactive skincare needs based on the research and expertise of leading dermatologists. PACKAGING 
First thing I noticed was their gorgeous chic packaging. It's all of a golden color, some only contains Korean descriptions and some contains English as well as Korean descriptions.

IASO INTENSIVE CLEAR CONDITIONER 
This product claims to clarify and brighten your skin as it exfoliates dead skin cells with Salicylic acid and energizes the skin with Centella Asiatica and Nutrimarine. Far more than a conditioner, it prepares your skin to maximize the benefits of your other skin care products. This is suitable if your skin is dull, skin is rough or if your skin doesn't appear tight anymore. It contains 180ml of product and it's suitable for all skin types.

HOW TO USE
Apply a bit of product onto a cotton pad and wipe around the face. Use this after cleansing.

TEXTURE & SCENT
The product is white and is very liquid & runny. It feels moist on the skin and has a soft, non-sticky  finish. It smells like a fresh cream which is pleasant, not overwhelming at all. Since it is very runny, product might come out if you leave the opening open, it comes out even though you didn't use the pump.

INGREDIENTS
Water, Alcohol, Glycerin, Diphenyl Dimethicone, Triethylhexanoin, Betaine, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Ppg-6-decyltetradeceth-30, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Hamamelis Virginiana (witch hazel) Bark/Leaf/Twig Extract, Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi Leaf Extract, Mitracarpus Scaber Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Centella Asiatica Extract, Morus Nigra Leaf Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Benzophenone-9, Fragrance, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein, Sodium Hyaluronate, Blue 1, Ci 14700, Sea Water, Salicylic Acid (BHA).

MY THOUGHTS
I have been using this product for a month now. It is a great product to use after you've washed your face with a cleanser. What I like about this product is that it feels very light on the skin. It feels moist, clean, doesn't leave a sticky feeling and clarifies the skin. Another thing that I love is that it makes my skin very soft and smooth after application thanks to ingredients like the aloe vera gel and licorice extracts that the product contains. I have been using this during day and night time. It dries fast so I can just continue with my skincare routine directly. It contains Salicylic Acid (BHA) which is an effective ingredient in terms of treating and healing acne, but I didn't notice anything about this, the product doesn't contain much of it neither.

IASO INTENSIVE CLEAR BOOSTER 
An intensive yet extra-gentle skin retexturizing formula with an exclusive complex of multi-hydroxy acids and plant extracts, which exfoliate dead skin cells and speed up the skin's own shedding cycle. (how awesome does that sound?) Instantly boosts your skin's smoothness, clarity and radiance and continuously reduces dullness, uneven texture and minor discolorations. Works precisely where and when needed. On dry skin, whisks away flakes. On oily skin, reduces surface oil. It also maximizes the benefits of your other skin care products. It contains 35ml of product and is suitable for all skin types.

Improvement of the skin day by day after application:
1st week: in the first week you will notice a smooth skin,
2nd week: skins' natural radiance starts showing,
3rd week: skin is transparent and clean,
4th week: skin is tighter and completely vitalized.

HOW TO USE
Apply to the face and neck after cleansing and toner, day and night. Avoid eye and mouth area. Follow with your serum and moisturizer. IASO recommends the use of a sunscreen as part of your daily skincare program in the morning. And they strongly discourage combining a hydroxy acid formula with a Retinol formula. It contains AHA/BHA which are strong ingredients (Glycolic Acid 3.7%, Lactic Acid 3.8%, Salicylic Acid 0.3%), but as you can see the percentages aren't that high. If you are new to AHA/BHA and want to give it a try, this might be a good product for you to see if it works for you.

TEXTURE & SCENT
The product has a very liquid texture and is runny as well. It feels moist, lightweight, but a little bit sticky after application. It does brighten the skin up a little bit. It smells like rubber and alcohol, a mixture of that. It's not the most pleasant smell to be honest, but I got used to it.

The product doesn't come out of the bottle even though this has a runny texture as well, unlike the conditioner. The product only comes out when you push on the pump.

MY THOUGHTS
I have a combination dry skin and I did notice that it reduces surface oil a bit on my T-zone. I always get oily during the day (around 2pm), but now it's like only in the late afternoon (5pm). Despite it has AHA and BHA, I didn't feel any stinging or tingling feeling. It felt very mild surprisingly. My skin looks less dull after applying this every day. It brightens my skin up, while looking plump. I always combine this product with my other skincare products, otherwise it wouldn't feel moist enough. Above I mentioned about the improvement of the skin day by day, that IASO claimed. The results on my skin seems in between 2nd and 3rd week; radiance is visible and it feels clean, but not tighter yet. Maybe it just takes more time to see that. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product.

An advanced eye treatment that relieves puffiness, dark spots and fine lines due to stress, strain and fatigue. It also helps boost firmness and provides moisture to the delicate area. It contains 40ml (which is quite a lot) and it claims to be suitable for all skin types.

HOW TO USE
With your ring finger, apply to entire eye area, using a gentle, patting motion.

TEXTURE & SCENT
It has a gel texture and the amount that comes out can easily be managed with the pump. It has a fresh lemon scent. It smells like a perfume and might be a bit strong for some.

MY THOUGHTS
I don't have puffy eyes, but I do have fine lines and dark spots. Unfortunately nothing visible changed after using this product for a month apart from that my eyes feel moist after application.

MY THOUGHTS
After using these products for a month, I am pretty amazed by the outcome. I am loving the IASO intensive clear conditioner the most, since it just feels so good on the skin, the soft surface that it creates on my skin is just perfect for after cleansing and for applying more skincare products.

All of these products are claimed to be suitable for all skin types, but it is NOT suitable for (very) sensitive skin types. I used this while I had an allergy, while I had a very sensitive skin, but it started to sting badly. However, after my allergy was gone, my skin type changed into a combination dry skin type again (my usual skin type) and my skin is liking these products now. Make sure to always test it on certain spots like your neck and just wait for a day or so before applying the products on your full face. This, to avoid any break outs on the whole face.

My Hair Transformation at Aveda Lifestyle Salon + Giveaway

Hi lovies! If you have been following me on Instagram you have probably seen that I have had a hair transformation! It has been 3 months since I dyed my hair for the last time, so it was time to dye my hair again. I was invited to go to the Aveda Lifestyle Salon to experience their hair color treatment for the Love Your Color campaign. You will read my whole experience in today's blogpost including my before and after pictures, the whole process took 4 hours and it is a big change for me! HOW OFTEN DO I DYE MY HAIR? 
I have been dying my hair since I was 16 years old. I never liked my natural hair color since I think it's too dark for my pale skin tone and it just doesn't match. That's the reason why I always dye my hair and it makes me feel more confident. I don't really have a fixed date when I dye my hair again, I don't always go to a salon as well since it cost me a fortune to go there every time.

MY EXPERIENCE AT AVEDA LIFESTYLE SALON - THE HAGUE
Once I arrived at the salon I noticed the very relaxed and fresh atmosphere in the salon. The building is gorgeous with the nice natural lighting and the interior is inspired by the nature which suits the brand a lot.

They gave me an Aveda tea (my favorite!) to start and I had to answer a few questions related to my hair, so they can try to fulfill my needs and give some tips to keep my hair in the best condition. I thought the stylist would be going through this questionnaire that I had to fill in but he didn't, which I thought was weird.

Anyways, once sat I had a small talk with the stylist and he asked how I wanted my hair. He was very friendly and took time to discuss it with me and showed me a color scheme so I could point out the color that I wanted. Stupid enough I didn't prepare any examples and pictures how I actually wanted to have my hair, but I thought the stylist knew what I wanted. I explained to him that I wanted to have an ash brown color and a balayage* and I picked out the color: blushed copper. He explained to me how the process will be and which products he will use. Their hair color products are 93% naturally derived from plants, non-petroleum minerals or water. As you know, coloring your hair is damaging but when I heard that their products were 93% naturally derived, made me wanted to try it.
*Balayage - is a French word meaning to sweep / to paint. It's a technique in the hair color world to get a natural looking hair colour with softer, less noticeable regrowth lines.

After the talk, the stylist gave me a neck and back massage before the hair treatment started. They do this for every client before they start the hair treatment just to loosen you up a bit and make you relaxed. This really is the first salon that I know who gives that to their clients. A big plus I would say! Since the process of the hair treatment is pretty long, he also gave me a hand massage which is also part of the whole Aveda experience. Instead of looking on the phone or magazine during the waiting time, they give you a hand massage to make your waiting time worthwhile and your mind even more relaxed. The whole Aveda experience is just to make you more relaxed while getting a treatment and that definitely worked out for me. I got to say, their washing chairs were also very comfortable since I almost fell asleep there, oh my hahah.

After 4 hours I was finally done and here are the results including before and after pictures:

BEFORE PICTURES 
A lot of split ends, orange shade, with multiple colors in the hair and black roots. It really was time to get this fixed!

AFTER PICTURES 
And voila! These are the after pictures. An ashy brown shade with no split ends or black roots. Unfortunately, as you can see in the pictures below, I didn't get the balayage which I asked for. I really think that's a pity since I did ask for it. However, surprisingly, my hair still felt very soft after the treatment. Normally it would feel a bit dry, but that's not the case this time.

Korean brand, Missha collaborated with Line. If you have heard or used Line messenger before, you might recognize these characters on the packaging - Line Friends. Missha released the Season 1 collection back in January 2016 and they recently released Season 2! Today's blogpost is about the season 2 collection.
